BPRX - Back Pressure Regulator (High-Flow Economizer)

Intended as a high-capacity back pressure regulator for economizer applications on large cryogenic tanks, trailers and systems.

Suitable for cryogenic applications and oxygen service, subject to proper design and media compatibility.

Maximum inlet pressure: 51.7 bar. Set pressure ranges: 1.0 to 5.2 bar, 3.4 to 13.8 bar, 6.9 to 24.1 bar and 20.7 to 41.4 bar.

Function: Back pressure regulator for high economizer flow and vent-to-atmosphere applications on large cryogenic tanks, trailers and systems. Lapped poppet and seat minimize leakage below setpoint.

Media: Suitable for cryogenic media and oxygen service, subject to proper design and media compatibility.

Testing / setting: Factory preset and field adjustable within the spring range. Approximate setpoint change per full turn is 0.7, 1.7, 3.1 or 5.2 bar/turn depending on the spring range. Recommended installation orientation according to Generant: adjustment screw down.

Oxygen service: Cleaned and packaged for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1 as standard.

Seals / materials: Brass or 316 stainless steel body; 316 SS or Monel seat/poppet set depending on configuration; phosphor bronze or stainless steel diaphragms; PTFE seat seal; Gylon seals; Monel inlet filter screen.

Permissible operating temperature: -196 °C to +93 °C.

Inlet: 3/8" or 1/2" NPT.

Outlet: 3/8" or 1/2" NPT.

Pressure ranges: Spring A 1.0 to 5.2 bar, spring B 3.4 to 13.8 bar, spring C 6.9 to 24.1 bar, spring D 20.7 to 41.4 bar.

Flow Data: For 1/2" NPT version: economizer Cv at 110 %, 120 % and 130 % of set pressure: 3.45 bar = 0.314 / 0.554 / 0.688; 10.34 bar = 0.603 / 0.795 / 0.935; 22.41 bar = 0.612 / 0.838 / 0.902; 32.75 bar = 0.591 / 0.658 / 0.658. Flow to atmosphere with nitrogen: 3.45 bar = 990 / 1280 / 1400 SCFH N2; 10.34 bar = 1550 / 3975 / 5750 SCFH N2; 22.41 bar = 4950 / 9900 / 13725 SCFH N2; 32.75 bar = 5150 / 10450 / 13125 SCFH N2.
