4000 (Q, QE) - Quick Opening Valve (Q - 2 Way / QE - 3 Way Valve)

Intended as a fast-acting quick opening valve for instrumentation, control panels and quick isolation of lines or gauges.

The Q version is a 2-way shut-off valve for ON/OFF service. The QE version is a 3-way shut-off and vent valve that vents downstream pressure to atmosphere in the off position.

Suitable for air, gases and compatible media subject to proper system design, material compatibility and seal selection.

Operating pressure: up to 8.6 bar.

Allowable operating temperature: -29 °C to +149 °C.

Quick-opening brass valve, operating pressure up to 8.6 bar, with 1/8" or 1/4" NPT connections.

Function: Q version as a 2-way quick opening valve for fast ON/OFF shut-off. QE version as a 3-way quick opening valve for shut-off with downstream pressure vented to atmosphere in the off position. The design allows full-closed to full-open operation with a 60 degree turn of the knob.

Media: Suitable for air, gases and compatible media subject to proper system design, material compatibility and seal selection.

Testing / setting: 100 % factory tested for bubble-tight shut-off.

Oxygen service: Optionally cleaned and packaged for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1.

Seals: FKM seal and O-ring; other versions subject to technical review.

Operating pressure: up to 8.6 bar.

Connections: 1/8" or 1/4" NPT; female x female, male x male or male x female depending on configuration.

Operation / installation: Fast 60 degree knob operation; compact design for in-line and panel-mount applications. Standard panel-mount version with Off-On indicator plate and panel nut.

Technical features: Cv 0.5; Q version as 2-way snap action on-off control; QE version as 3-way valve venting downstream pressure to atmosphere through a 3/32" orifice.
