GDR - Gas Delivery Regulator (Pressure Reducing)

Product Manufacturer: Generant
Datasheet ID: GDR

Field of application

chevron-down

Intended as a Gas Delivery Regulator to reduce inlet pressure to a predetermined outlet pressure in demanding gas supply systems.

Suitable for technical gases and oxygen service, subject to proper design, seal selection and media compatibility. EPDM seals are recommended by Generant for CO2 service.

Maximum inlet pressure: 40 bar. Outlet pressure ranges: 0 to 3.8 bar, 3.5 to 9.3 bar, 8.6 to 15.5 bar and 15.5 to 31.0 bar.

Temperature range depends on seal material and configuration according to the data sheet.

Description

Gas Delivery Regulator (Pressure Reducing), brass, 1/4" to 1" NPT/BSPT, maximum inlet pressure 40 bar.

Function: Fully balanced pressure regulator for stable outlet pressure control even with inlet pressure fluctuations. Optimized spring and Venturi design for high flow and very low droop.

Media: Suitable for technical gases and oxygen service, subject to proper design and media compatibility; EPDM seals are recommended for CO2 service.

Testing / setting: 100 % factory tested for leakage, droop and flow performance. Each regulator is marked with manufacturer, part number, date code, maximum inlet pressure, set pressure range and flow direction.

Oxygen service: Cleaned and packaged for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1 as standard.

Seals / materials: Brass body; FKM or EPDM diaphragm and soft seals; stainless steel and brass components according to the data sheet.

Permissible operating temperature: depends on seal material and configuration according to the data sheet.

Inlet: 1/4" to 1" NPT, BSPP depending on configuration.

Outlet: 1/4" to 1" NPT, BSPP depending on configuration.

Pressure ranges: GDR-500: spring A 0 to 3.8 bar, spring B 3.5 to 9.3 bar, spring C 8.6 to 15.5 bar, spring D 15.5 to 31.0 bar. GDR-1000: spring A 0 to 3.8 bar, spring B 3.5 to 9.3 bar, spring C 8.6 to 15.5 bar.

Flow Data: Fail-open Cv GDR-500: 1/4" NPT/BSPT Cv 1.6, 3/8" NPT Cv 2.4, 1/2" NPT/BSPT Cv 2.9. Fail-open Cv GDR-1000: 3/4" and 1" NPT/BSPT Cv 5.8. Pilot-operated versions: maximum usable Cv 1.5 for GDR-500 and Cv 2.7 for GDR-1000. Flow performance curves were tested with nitrogen at ambient conditions; conversion factors for other gases are listed in the data sheet.

Available special versions / options: various porting options, panel-mounted version, chamber pipe-away version, pilot-operated version, FKM or EPDM seals.
