VRV - Vent Relief Valve

Intended for venting and pressure relief of gas and liquid systems against excessive pressure.

Suitable for inert gases, oxygen, oxidizer gases > 21% and hydrogen with appropriate seal and material selection.

Set pressure range: 0.03 to 10.34 bar.

Permissible operating temperature: -196 °C to +205 °C, depending on seal material.

Product overview: Compact direct-acting vent relief valve in brass, aluminum or 316 stainless steel, 1/8" to 1" NPT, set pressure range 0.03 to 10.34 bar, according to Category I, Module A (standard).

Function: Direct-acting pressure relief valve with accurate and repeatable cracking performance. The Quad ring seal provides high repeatability and a narrow reseat band.

Media: Suitable for inert gases, oxygen, oxidizer gases > 21% and hydrogen with appropriate seal and material selection. Special consideration is required for hydrogen embrittlement in H2 service.

Factory setting / testing: Factory preset and 100% tested; set pressure secured against inadvertent adjustment. Testing includes leakage, crack pressure, full flow and reseat performance.

Oxygen service: Optionally cleaned and packaged for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1.

Seals: Viton, Buna-N, neoprene, EPDM, fluorosilicone, silicone or PTFE depending on media, pressure and temperature. PTFE seals are not available below 20 psig.

Permissible operating temperature: -196 °C to +205 °C, depending on seal material.

Inlet: 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" or 1" NPT; straight male thread to SAE J1926/MS33656 on request.

Outlet: Vent to atmosphere, deflector cap for directing exhausted gas, or VRVI inline version, depending on configuration.

Available special versions / options: Oxygen cleaning; alternative seals; other thread configurations on request.
