5000 / 5005 - Ball Check Valve

Intended to limit reverse flow in gas and liquid systems.

Suitable for inert gases, oxygen, oxidizer gases > 21 % and hydrogen, subject to proper system design and media compatibility. For oxygen and oxidizer gases > 21 %, the valve must be specified cleaned for oxygen service.

Maximum operating pressure: 206 bar for brass, 340 bar for stainless steel. Standard cracking pressure: 0.17 bar; custom cracking pressures available.

Allowable operating temperature: approx. -40 °C to +260 °C, elastomer dependent.

Ball check valve for free flow in one direction and automatic checking of reverse flow.

Function: Ball-type check valve designed to limit reverse flow in a system.

Media: Suitable for inert gases, oxygen, oxidizer gases > 21 % and hydrogen, subject to proper system design and media compatibility. For oxygen and oxidizer gases > 21 %, the valve must be specified cleaned for oxygen service.

Testing / setting: 100 % factory tested for leakage in the backflow direction. Zero leakage at approx. 0.03 bar backpressure in check direction with elastomer seals. Standard cracking pressure: 0.17 bar; custom cracking pressures available.

Oxygen service: Optionally cleaned and packaged for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1.

Seals: Elastomer seals; selection depends on media, operating temperature and system requirements.

Allowable operating temperature: approx. -40 °C to +260 °C, elastomer dependent.

Connections: NPT female or male threads in 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"; SAE connection available as special order.

Flow direction: Free flow in arrow direction; reverse flow is checked in the opposite direction.

Installation note: Mounting orientation should be considered in the system design; install according to the marked free-flow direction. Overtightening may impair proper valve function.
