RVA - Cryogenic ASME Relief Valve

Intended as an ASME-coded safety device for protecting piping systems or liquid cylinders where an ASME-coded relief valve is required.

Rated for gas service; when used with cryogenic media, upstream vapor barrier piping is required. Suitable for oxygen service subject to correct sizing and media compatibility.

Set pressure range: 1.37 to 37.92 bar.

Permissible operating temperature: -196 °C to +93 °C, depending on seal material.

Product overview: ASME-coded cryogenic safety relief valve with brass/stainless steel components, ASME UV and NB stamp, 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT, set pressure range 1.37 to 37.92 bar.

Function: Spring-loaded safety relief valve meeting the ASME BPVC Section XIII safety relief valve requirements. Intended for piping systems or liquid cylinders where an ASME-coded relief valve is required.

Media: Rated for gas service. If used with cryogenic media, the valve must be installed with upstream vapor barrier piping. Suitable for oxygen service subject to correct sizing and media compatibility.

Factory setting / testing: Factory preset and secured against adjustment, 100% tested for crack and reseat performance. Zero leakage to 95% of set pressure; full rated flow at 110% of set pressure.

Oxygen service: Cleaned and packaged for oxygen service according to CGA G-4.1 as standard.

Seals: Fluorosilicone for 1.37 to 10.27 bar; modified PTFE with 25% carbon fill for 10.34 to 37.92 bar.

Permissible operating temperature: -196 °C to +93 °C, depending on seal material.

Inlet: 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" NPT.

Outlet: Vent to atmosphere; pipe-away options with integrated external seal are available separately but are not compatible with the drain-hole option.
